ABOUT THE COURSE:

The Degree Course B.Sc. (Accident and Emergency Care Technology) is affiliated to Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This course trains the candidates to grow to be an expert in accident and emergency care department (A & E) and prepares trained, competent emergency medical technician to work in hospital as well as in the ambulance. The students will have intellectual knowledge and skills to provide inclusive and constant care for patients to overcome the emergency situations.
An emergency department is also known as accident & emergency department (A&E), in which the medical treatment facility specializing in emergency medicine, the acute care of patients who present without prior appointment, either by their own means or by that of an ambulance. The emergency department is usually found in a hospital or other primary care center.
Medical emergencies are increasing in India, every year.So, the necessity of the Accident and Emergency care Technicians are huge, for the health care systems in India.The Accident and Emergency care trained technicians can save many precious lives along with Medical team.
The students these who complete the course can get the good job in the Multi speciality / Super specialty hospitals and in ambulance. There is an avenue for studying post graduate course and the experienced candidates can have the opportunity to work in foreign counties also.
The students will be able to afford safe and efficient treatment for all age group of patient by taking necessary decisions and also they will be recognizable on equipment and drugs used in emergency situations. Finally the students will be a Professional accident and emergency care technicians
What You Learn
- Emergency Response: How to handle medical crises, from accidents to sudden illnesses.
- Patient Care: Providing continuous care, managing airways, using defibrillators, and assisting in stabilization.
- Technical Skills: Operating emergency equipment and administering essential treatments.
- Core Sciences: Anatomy, physiology, pharmacology related to emergency situations.
- Practical Experience: Hands-on training in ERs, trauma centers, and ambulance settings.
Eligibility
- Age: 17 - 35 Years.
- Should have Passed +2 or equivalent.
- Minimum 50% marks in +2
- Maths / Science / Vocational stream

The following certificates / documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies)
- Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
- SSLC/HSC / AISSCE / ISCE / CBSE / Intermediate mark statement(s).
- Migration Certificate for the students who have passed other than HSC Examination of Tamil Nadu.
- Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai (For students who have passed their Qualifying examination other than HSC Examination, Tamil Nadu)
- Community Certificate
- Native Certificate
- Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
- Aadhaar Copy
NRI STUDENTS
- He/ She should be registered in the website https://indianfrro.gov.in under the Form-S/ Form-2.
- NRI status of financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
- Certificate of Relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.
- Original and Copies of Passport and Visa of the candidate.
- NRE (Non Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.
- Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the course.
