ABOUT THE COURSE:

An anesthesia technologist is an allied healthcare professional whose main job is to assist surgeons during surgery. They administer appropriate dose of anesthesia. They operate anesthesia equipments when it is needed.
They also work in Intensive Care Unit (ICU),Emergency wards and departments and Operation theatres. Mainly their task is preoperative, they should be there before the operation starts, to administer anesthetic agent to the patients with the surgeon. They should also monitor patients throughout surgery.
In Ganga Institute of Health Sciences we train students in all aspects such as anesthetic equipments, anesthetic techniques, anesthetic agents and dosage, patient monitoring, anesthesia supplies and anesthesia technology.
The knowledge and skills that they acquire helps them in choosing appropriate anesthesia, determining appropriate dose, operating anesthetic equipment and monitoring patients conditions.
An anesthetic technician takes care of anesthesia supply and stock, equipment setup, pre intra and post surgery anesthetic administering agent, caring and monitoring patient. They work in ICU,CCU,ED, Surgery wards and operation theater. Usually they work in a team with the surgeons, nurses and other staff.
Every year the intake is 20 seats our students have proved themselves to be the best in their practical, We have got good results in the past years.
Our institution is affiliated by Dr.MGR medical university. There is a worldwide opportunity for these students with a good pay.
ELIGIBILITY
- Age: 17 - 35 Years.
- Should have Passed +2 or equivalent.
- Minimum 50% marks in +2
- Maths / Science / Vocational stream

INDIAN STUDENTS
The following certificates / documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies)
- Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
- SSLC/HSC / AISSCE / ISCE / CBSE / Intermediate mark statement(s).
- Migration Certificate for the students who have passed other than HSC Examination of Tamil Nadu.
- Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai (For students who have passed their Qualifying examination other than HSC Examination, Tamil Nadu)
- Community Certificate
- Native Certificate
- Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
- Aadhaar Copy
NRI STUDENTS
- He/ She should be registered in the website https://indianfrro.gov.in under the Form-S/ Form-2.
- NRI status of financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
- Certificate of Relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.
- Original and Copies of Passport and Visa of the candidate.
- NRE (Non Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.
- Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the course.
