ABOUT THE COURSE:

The Critical care technology course is beneficial to develop Knowledge, Skills and values of critical ill patients with technical support. Exhibits appropriate professional behaviors including honesty, integrity, commitment, compassion, respect, altruism and responses to ethical issues such as consent, advanced directives, confidentiality, end of life care and with drawing and with holding life support.
Critical care technology students enriching their theory knowledge and practical skills in our Ganga hospital with highly qualified doctors and with different set up of 8 bedded intensive care unit, 4 bedded neuro- care unit, 6 bedded high dependency unit, 20 bedded pre and post operative wards and biomedical department which is used specifically to care for crticallly ill patients with head injuries & poly trauma
Critical care technology focused on making sure the equipment and technology needed to support organ function and maintain life is working and being used correctly, Setting up equipment, connecting patients and monitoring the machinery as it is being used, Carrying out regular maintenance checks of intensive care equipment and bedside, Technical support, Working with other health care professionals during life threatening events,
Critical care technology students handle the equipments such as Blood analysers that measure biochemical factors, Dialysis systems that divert blood through a circuit outside the body, Ventilators that help patients breathe, Haemofiltration and other life support machinery, Defibrillators and monitors that measure vital body functions, such as heart rate and brain activity, Infusion pumps and syringe drivers that deliver drugs to patients.
Students are routinely participate in the ICU audits with various parameters including infection rates are monitored to help their technical skills and redefine their care as per current standards
The scope of this course is tremendous in our country. Apart from working as B.Sc Critical care technician, Critical care Educator, Critical care project Manager and Trainee Critical care technology in hospitals.

Eligibility
- Age: 17 - 35 Years.
- Should have Passed +2 or equivalent.
- Minimum 50% marks in +2
- Maths / Science / Vocational stream

The following certificates / documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies)
- Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
- SSLC/HSC / AISSCE / ISCE / CBSE / Intermediate mark statement(s).
- Migration Certificate for the students who have passed other than HSC Examination of Tamil Nadu.
- Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai (For students who have passed their Qualifying examination other than HSC Examination, Tamil Nadu)

- Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)

NRI STUDENTS
- He/ She should be registered in the website https://indianfrro.gov.in under the Form-S/ Form-2.
- NRI status of financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
- Certificate of Relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.
- Original and Copies of Passport and Visa of the candidate.
- NRE (Non Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.
- Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the course.
